JessicaMichelleDemler

Principal

Jessica is the quintessential communicator. She is highly sociable and prides herself on being relatable and approachable. She hears what her clients say and anticipates their needs even if they themselves struggle to communicate. Jessica is also grounded, goal-oriented, methodical and strategic, a combination of professional attributes that support her well in fulfilling her responsibilities in relationship development and financial planning at Oxler.

While Jessica is a relative newcomer to the financial world, she is not new to the role of collaborating and guiding clients in reaching their goals. For the better part of the past 15 years, she spent her time as an entrepreneur and a creative director for high-end textile businesses. In her positions, she brought relevant, thoughtful and fresh ideas and product to market to inspire clients and invigorate their projects. So much of her role was about clear and articulate communication, organized project management, understanding goals and expectations, expertly understanding the product and ultimately delivering on promises. She guided clients to realize a creative vision managing the project from both a technical and relationship standpoint from inception to completion.

Before joining Oxler, she was creative director of Glenn Carpet as well as founder of Sprung & Rich, a made-to-order rug company for high-net-worth individuals and families. She also co-founded Artworks, a volunteer-run organization focused on delivering arts education programs to women and children displaced by poverty and violence in New York City. Earlier, she was program director of Oyster Arts, an arts education organization serving displaced women and children. She received a BFA in fiber arts and printmaking from the University of Michigan and followed her BFA with an associates degree in textile and surface design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Jessica also holds a Series 65 license and is a candidate for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Jessica is a board member of Eckford Street Studio, a community art studio providing visual arts instruction to children and families of North Brooklyn. She enjoys creative time making art, a leisurely brunch with friends, seeing live music and going to the movies. A perfect weekend might include playing tennis, time spent in the park with family and gathering with friends, from camp, college and childhood. She lives with her husband, Ryan, their two children, and puppy, Wilma, in Westchester, New York.

Jessica works side by side with her father, Jonathan, and brother-in-law, Masa.
